AT A GLANCE

Otoha’s Weeping Sky branch builds repeated Skill damage and enemy debuffs. Use Ripple of Shadow and Evening Rain with an all-Umbra team; her Doomfall branch is a different setup.

Specific support recipe using the supplied Otoha ability reference and original Karin analysis. Original release-player observations are identified separately; no current universal damage gain or tested minimum-investment guarantee is claimed.

Do not mix Weeping Sky and Doomfall into one recipe

The ability reference describes one support branch that extends Soul Rend and generates Doomfall when an Umbra Main hits the affected target. Its named cores are Lonely Twin Shadows and Night-Walker; its interactions focus on Ultimate damage, energy and cooldown.

The recipe covered here instead builds Weeping Sky’s repeated Skill-damage bombardments. Ripple of Shadow adds bombardments and DEF PEN to Weeping Sky. Evening Rain adds another wave in an all-Umbra squad and gives the attack further DEF PEN against a target with Umbra Mark or Dark Shackles. The target state and team-element condition are part of that effect.

Establish the engine, then maintain its hits

Maygii’s Karin analysis prioritizes Devouring Shadow, then Bone-Chilling Rain and Rain-Woven Sorrow. Maxing Rain-Woven Sorrow slows the area enough to keep hitting a stationary target. Build that uptime before comparing a higher headline Record score.

What the Weeping Sky supporting pieces do

Scroll the table sideways on a narrow screen.

What the Weeping Sky supporting pieces do
PotentialEffect relevant to the recipe
Bone-Chilling RainWeeping Sky hits build a stacking increase to the target’s Umbra damage taken.
Rain-Woven SorrowSlows Weeping Sky’s forward movement and increases its Skill damage.
Devouring ShadowIts squad Umbra damage and DEF PEN condition requires an all-Umbra squad.
Inevitable EndIncreases Weeping Sky’s Umbra damage against elite or higher-tier targets.

These conditions explain why the support’s damage area and enemy position matter. A wave that moves past a target cannot maintain the same repeated-hit effect merely because its listed damage is high. The recipe gives a Record priority; it does not establish a universal permanent level or skill-upgrade minimum.

Fit the branch to the Umbra Main

Karin with Otoha and Cosette is the concrete team in the original analysis. Earlier release players also report using Firenze, Otoha and Cosette. Those player reports illustrate a support role; their personal before/after scores do not isolate Otoha’s contribution from different Records and equipment.

An all-Umbra squad is required for Evening Rain’s extra wave and Devouring Shadow’s squad effect. Replacing a teammate with a generic off-element buffer changes those conditions. Read the Main’s actual damage needs and the enemy’s Mark state before retaining the same picks.

The Karin Ultimate recipe gives a concrete Main-slot use for an Umbra support.
